Fran McCormack
Partner-Managing Director

Fran McCormack is a Founding Partner and leader of the Asset Management practice for Charles Sterling Group. With more than twenty years of executive search experience, Fran has partnered with many of the world's largest financial institutions within asset management and banking. He leads a team of executive search professionals specializing in Sales, Relationship Management, Marketing, Product Management, and Portfolio Management as well as Risk Management and Financial Officers.

Prior to Charles Sterling Group, Fran was National Director of Vedior Professional Services, a global search organization. In this role, Fran co-founded the Financial Services practice and drove business development initiatives as one of the firm's leading producers. He also served on the Operating Committee of the Professional Services Group, which was responsible for instituting best practices across the firm and expanding Vedior's presence to eleven offices throughout the U.S.

Fran began his career in commercial banking and is a graduate of Boston College.

Brian Porter
Partner-Managing Director

Brian Porter is a Founding Partner and the Chief Operating Officer of Charles Sterling Group. Brian leads the Operations and Compliance & Legal Practices of the firm, focusing on leadership positions for domestic and global investment banks, asset management and servicing firms, capital market institutions, commercial banks, hedge funds, and private equity firms. His executive recruiting and thought leadership profile is built up on more than 18 years in the search business. As the COO, Brian is responsible for the day to day operations, directing client relationships and business development, serving as the Market Manager for Boston and overseeing all search execution for the firm.

Prior to co-founding Charles Sterling Group, Brian was a Regional Director for Vedior Professional Services, a global search organization. As Regional Director, Brian helped to build and lead the company’s national Financial Services Practice. He also was Manager of the largest producing office and was consistently ranked as a top producer for the firm in the U.S. During his tenure, Brian had his own active search practice executing national and international assignments across many different lines of business for some of the world’s leading financial institutions.

Brian began his career as an executive in the banking and brokerage business after earning his degree from Saint Anselm College.

John Meeks
Partner-Managing Director

John Meeks brings almost a quarter century of executive search expertise in Private Wealth Management and Financial Officers to his role as New York Market Manager for Charles Sterling Group. John oversees business development and search execution for the New York market and the Financial Officers practice nationally. He leads a team of executive search professionals specializing in private wealth management and financial officers.

Most recently, John was Vice President of Private Wealth Management Recruitment for Goldman Sachs where he led all hiring and recruitment for twelve offices across the U.S. and Latin America. Previously, he was the Senior Vice President of Latin America for Randstad Professionals, the world's second largest executive recruiting firm, where he spearheaded the firm's executive search practices in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, and Mexico. Prior to the firm's acquisition by Randstad, John was President of Vedior Professional Services divisions across the U.S., including Accounting & Finance, Legal, and Human Resources.

John regularly contributes articles to financial services and executive recruiting publications and is a guest speaker and panelist at professional forums and conferences. He is a graduate of the Syracuse University Newhouse School of Public Communications.

Marty Rogosa
Partner

Marty is a founding Partner of Charles Sterling Group. He is responsible for the firm's financial management and is an integral member of management's strategic planning initiatives.

Marty has over 24 years of financial management experience within the financial services industry. He has extensive experience in financial management, technical accounting, and strategic planning. Marty held various executive-level finance positions at State Street Corporation, including Senior Vice President, Financial Management and Analysis, and Manager, Corporate Accounting. He passed the CPA exam and holds a BBA in accounting from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Marty is also President of MJR Capital, an unaffiliated investment company.

John Allen
Managing Director

John Allen is a Managing Director for Charles Sterling Group. He has more than two decades of search experience and is known for his extensive experience placing senior-level talent for many of the world's leading financial companies.

Most recently, John was a Senior Vice President of Talent Management for Fidelity Investments, the largest mutual fund company in the United States. He was responsible for senior level executive recruiting and succession planning throughout the company.

Prior to joining Fidelity Investments, John founded Allen Partners, Incorporated, an executive search firm specializing in financial services. Also previously, John worked at Bank of America/Fleet Boston Financial as Managing Director of Talent Management and Executive Recruiting, where he focused on leadership and executive level placement. Prior to joining FleetBoston, John was with Heidrick and Struggles, a global executive search firm, as Managing Partner of the Financial Service Practice of North America, Asia/Pacific and Latin America.

John graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor in Science. He holds an MPA from the Graduate School of Public Affairs at State University of New York in Albany. John is also a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking and the Harvard Business School Program for Management Development.
